Peet Starts Work on New Point Cook Community

Peet Limited has started development of a new residential community in Point Cook that will deliver around 560 new homesites in the fast-growing area.
Construction at Kingsford at Point Cook began in March, with the first homesites to be offered to homebuyers later this year.
Kingsford at Point Cook has been master planned by Peet Limited with modern lifestyle needs in mind. Each homesite is designed to maximise energy efficiency through solar orientation and fibre-optic technology will be offered to every home.
The leading design principles reflect the forward-looking vision of the community’s namesake, Sir Charles Kingsford Smith, who flew from Point Cook in 1929 for the first non-stop east-west flight across Australia.
Peet Limited Managing Director and CEO Brendan Gore said Kingsford would be a quality, residential community in Melbourne’s west, carefully planned and designed to meet the requirements of the modern family.
“As population growth reaches record highs in the area, Peet is pleased to create a new residential community that will provide homebuyers with a mix of affordable homesites that cater for a range of lifestyles,” Mr Gore said.
“Quality planning and design will flow through all elements of the Kingsford community, with a significant investment being made by Peet in the creation of two parks, a network of cycle paths and other recreational spaces for residents.
“Peet has drawn on the success of our popular Innisfail community, located opposite Kingsford, and will create a contemporary and comfortable environment in which to live.”
Pedestrian walkways will meander through a native water reserve at Kingsford and there will be a variety of areas for picnicking, play and other outdoor activities.
A future display village will showcase the latest in new home design, while residents will enjoy easy access to local schools, shops and recreational facilities close by.
