Make a splash in Bullsbrook this summer

Looking for a day out the whole family can enjoy? Little kids and big kids alike will have endless fun at Outback Splash in Bullsbrook, home to amazing mazes, cute koalas and some of Australia’s most exhilarating waterslides.

The tiny-tots will love Octopus Bay, a waterpark with a three-slide giant octopus and a miniature tipping bucket, all set in a shaded splash pool designed especially for toddlers.

For the thrill-seekers, there’s the challenge of The Plummet, a huge inflatable waterslide with a 7-metre drop, and The Wall, a mammoth quarter-pipe raft slide. A crowd favourite, The Wall is based on the best features of The Boomerang at Bali’s Waterbom Park.

And let’s not forget Splash Island, the ultimate water playground with its interactive sprays, colourful water cannons, six super-cool waterslides and a giant tipping bucket sat atop a three-storey island-theme tower.

With complimentary deck chairs, plus private huts and cabanas for hire, Outback Splash is the ideal place to set up camp and stay cool on a hot summer’s day.

While the waterparks, now open for the summer season, are a relatively new addition to Bullsbrook’s family-run fun park, Outback Splash has been entertaining Perth families since it was officially opened in 1981 as The Maze Sequoia Park.

Bought by local business owners Paul and Nicole Woodcock in 2006, Outback Splash is fast becoming a must-visit for tourists and locals alike.

The original timber maze is still among the most popular year-round attractions, along with a host of new family brain teasers, including a hedge maze, tractor tyre maze, Danae’s Dilemma, Tayla’s Tangle and Phil’s Frustration.

But the award for cutest star attraction goes to the park’s koalas. Get to know this iconic Australian marsupial from just a few feet away, with talks and presentations by the keepers. Afterwards, drop in to say hi to Winnie the Wombat or visit the kangaroos and emus hanging out in their very own outback-themed enclosure.

Complete with barbecues, picnic tables, a burger bar and snack shack, Outback Splash has your family fun covered all year round.
