Reason #9 connections and access

Reason #9 connections and access
29 June 2021

Kingsford has long been billed as a well-connected address.

It may be surrounded by the natural beauty of the Perth foothills, but this master-planned community is in one of Perth’s most promising growth corridors, where connection and accessibility are big drawcards.

As a guide, Kingsford at Bullsbrook is just 10 minutes from Ellenbrook, 20 minutes from Midland, 25 minutes from Perth Airport, 30 minutes from Joondalup and 40 minutes from the Perth CBD.

Here are two major reasons why Kingsford is so well-connected.

Tonkin Highway (Northlink)

The third and final stage of the $1.02 billion Northlink WA project was officially opened just over a year ago.

The project has essentially brought Bullsbrook closer to key shopping, entertainment and employment destinations such as Ellenbrook, Midland and Joondalup.

The non-stop, state-of-the-art transport link also delivers easier access to Perth Airport and the Perth CBD, and to commercial and industrial areas such as Malaga and Kewdale.

The Ellenbrook-Muchea section even includes a section of 4m-wide shared pathway for pedestrians and cyclists.

Stock Road upgrade

The City of Swan is upgrading Stock Road, changing it from a ‘no through road’ into a 4.3km long connector road between Tonkin Highway and Great Northern Highway.

With lanes for west-bound traffic and east-bound traffic, the upgrade will offer greater connectivity for Bullsbrook residents, who will be able to use Stock Road to reach Tonkin Highway.

And don’t forget Metronet …

The proposed Metronet passenger rail line has the potential to offer residents additional public transport options into the Perth CBD and other key destinations. The vision includes a road-rail intermodal terminal within Bullsbrook that’s already attracting significant investment in the area.
