A lot of hard work goes into keeping Kingsford at Bullsbrook looking beautiful all year round.

Just ask Cullen Yard Care owner, James Cullen, who oversees the meticulous daily maintenance of our stunning new estate.

From keeping the natural wonder that is Ki-it Monger Brook clean and pristine to nurturing our landscaped gardens and green spaces, James and his team ensure Kingsford is always a quality, welcoming environment.

We sat down for a chat to get to know this fiercely proud local a little better.

My usual day working at Kingsford starts off with a walk through the lush Ki-it Monger Brook. I watch the beautiful sunrise through the canopy of the trees as I collect any rubbish I find. I then work on keeping the estate gardens tidy, pruned and free of any litter, mow the lawns and maintain the reticulation.

Bullsbrook is a special place to live because it has a unique sense of community that can’t really be found anywhere else in Perth. Everyone knows and looks out for each other as if they are family – I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else.

The most rewarding part of my job is working on improving a place I have called home for the past 18 years. Bullsbrook holds a special place in my heart, and I am so happy to be able to play a part in making it the best it can be.

The most surprising aspect of Kingsford is the economic benefits it has brought to Bullsbrook.  Okeland Communities is committed to buying and hiring local and that’s created lots of new opportunities for our community, both during construction and in the longer term.

When I’m not working you will find me camping out in the hills, enjoying all that nature has to offer. I love the outdoors and you will rarely find me indoors unless I have to be.
